Blue Crack Strain: A Very Heady High

Blue Crack Hybrid (what's this?)

The Blue Crack strain stems from the ingenious combination of Blue Dream (50/50 Hybrid) and Green Crack (Sativa).

Under the magnifying glass, it is common for the Blue Crack strain to have a layer of extremely thick tan hairs that wrap around the bud structure. These sandy-colored hairs are typically found on the Blue Dream strain, and is one of the first characteristics we noticed about the Blue Crack strain.

“The Green Crack in its genetics will provide an upbeat head-high that is full of positive energy, where as the Blue Dream provides more of a soothing, full-body high that is calming and a little spacey.”

For those unfamiliar, the easiest way to learn about the Blue Crack strain is to look at its genetics. Where a plant comes from can tell you where you are going to go, especially when medicating with a unfamiliar marijuana strain. The Green Crackin its genetics will provide an upbeat head-high that is full of positive energy, where as Blue Dream provides more of a soothing, full-body high that is calming and a little spacey. By mixing these effects together (which is essentially what is happening), you get a surprisingly accurate prediction of how the Blue Crack strain will affect you.

As you can see from the pictures we snapped, the Blue Crack strain has a unique bud structure. Although Blue Crack is Sativa-dominant, the plant continually produces fat, chunky nugs that look like they would be dense from far away. However, upon closer examination we found the buds to be soft, delicate, and surprisingly airy. The buds from this Blue Crack plant were not very dense at all and easy to break up in with my hands, despite them being chunky palm-sized nugs.

The aroma from Blue Crack is exactly what one may expect from the combination of Blue Dream and Green Crack. It is sweet, spicy, and its smooth smoke is infused with slight blueberry and sugar undertones. If grown properly, the buds should have an extremely enticing and attractive, sweet lemony scent that multiplies when broken up.
