Biography
Dr Patricia Frye is an independent physician consultant with a focus on cannabis and the role it plays in homeostasis and the management of pain and chronic disease. She is currently evaluating and managing patients who are seeking medicinal cannabis as a primary or adjunct therapy for illnesses such as chronic pain syndromes, neurodegenerative disorders, gastrointestinal disease, seizures, autoimmune disease, insomnia, cancer, anorexia, and mood disorders.
After graduating from the University of Maryland School of Medicine where she earned her medical degree, Dr Frye remained there and completed her pediatric residency. Dr. Frye then went to Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where she continued her studies in the field of anesthesiology. There she gained experience in medical pain management and pain management procedures. Dr Frye has furthered her education, by means of extensive independent study, and is knowledgeable in the areas of endogenous and exogenous cannabinoid physiology, the entourage effects of phytocannabinoids and terpenoids and their role in treating chronic and debilitating conditions.
Dr. Frye is licensed to practice in Maryland, District of Columbia, Nevada, and California. Having evaluated over two thousand patients for the California Medical Marijuana Program, Dr. Frye is exceptionally experienced in guiding pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients through the process of adding medicinal cannabis to their medical regimen.
Physician and therapist referrals are welcomed and she is committed to working alongside medical providers who have patients they feel might benefit from cannabis therapy.
