The MPP Purchased Advertising In Support Of Question 1 The Marijuana Policy Project (MPP) announced a new ad campaign in a press release this week. Similar to the billboard that the organization placed outside of the Denver Broncos stadium a few weeks ago, the advertisements will focus on cannabis as a safer alternative to alcohol. Oregon Senate Approves MMJ Dispensary Bill
The Oregon senate passed a bill Wednesday in a bipartisan 18-12 vote that will require the Oregon Health Authority to establish a registration system of medical marijuana dispensaries. House Bill 3460, if signed by the governor, will come into effect on March 1. The bill would allow patients with one of 33 specified illnesses to buy cultivated cannabis as well as immature cannabis plants from authorized medical marijuana dispensaries. Under present law, the state’s 55,000 registered cardholders are permitted to grow their own cannabis, but there is no where to legally purchase the medicine. Sen. Floyd Prozanski …
Oregon House Committee Introduced The ‘Control, Regulation, & Taxation of Cannabis Act’
The Oregon ‘House Committee on Revenue’ introduced House Bill 3371, or the ‘Control, Regulation & Taxation of Cannabis Act’, on Monday, February 25. Following the end of cannabis prohibition in its neighbor state, Washington, Oregon lawmakers have finally drafted a shrewd bill of their own. Marijuana Tax and Regulation Bill Introduced To Oregon Legislature
The Oregon House Committee introduced House Bill 3371, or the ‘Control, Regulation and Taxation of Cannabis Act’ this past Monday. The bill would legalize cannabis possession and form a state-regulated structure for legal marijuana retail. House bill 3371 would establish a “comprehensive state policy concerning cannabis, which includes marijuana and industrial hemp under existing state law.” It would allow for the possession of up to 24 ounces of marijuana and 6 plants “on the premises” of non-commercial home grow operations.
