Quit Combusting And Start Vaporizing Your Dry Herbs

The air that is inhaled is hot enough to vaporize your favorite herbs. It is possible to control how hot the air is by inhaling faster or slower. The slower you inhale the more time the air spends in the glass heater cover, therefore the air gets hotter. If inhaling slowly does not get the air hot enough to vaporize your herbal material turn the SSV up a little higher.

How The Silver Surfer Vaporizer (SSV) Works

For those already familiar with how to use a Vapor Brothers vaporizer or the Arizer Extreme Q vaporizer, you will have no problem getting used to the Silver Surfer Vaporizer, as it utilizes a very similar vaporization process. Here is how the SSV works:

1. First, air is inhaled through a small hole in the glass heater cover.
2. Second, the ceramic element heats the air to vaporizing temperature.
3. Finally, the heated air passes through the SSV’s glass heater cover and into the glass wand, which is attached to your mouthpiece.

Getting Started With The Silver Surfer Vaporizer

Plug in your vape. According to the SSV website, there are two main ways to use the Silver Surfer vaporizer:

1. First, you can turn glass marble adjustment knob to full power for about 2-3 minutes. Then turn the glass marble knob back down to about 1/3 power.
2. The second way to turn the unit on is to simply turn the knob to your favorite position (you will find this position after some use), and wait 3-5 minutes for the unit to reach temperature.

Most herbs for aromatherapy and homeopathic healing only require the SSV to be turned to approximately 2/3 power. I found the 1/3 spot to be perfect for most dry herbs I tried in the unit.

Once the unit is heated, you can easily “scoop” the pre-grinded dry-herb by inhaling through the mouth-piece, collecting the herbs at the top of your glass whip. Then simply put the glass whip on the circular glass heat-shield and begin inhaling slowly for 5-15 seconds depending on if you like short or longer hits. Continue with this process, stirring the dry-herbs after each inhale to ensure all greens are evenly vaporized to a dull brown shade.

Warning, this unit does get hot so do not touch the glass heat-shield around the long white coil heater as shown below.
