V2 Pro Series 3 Vaporizer Pen Review

The V2 Pro Series 3 is a portable vaporization device with a strong focus on versatility. Many elements are especially forward-thinking and are likely to become more prevalent throughout the entire vaporizer industry.

The Versatility of the V2 Pro Vaporizer

V2 Cigs is a well-established electronic cigarette brand making their debut in the vaporizer industry with their flagship product, the V2 Pro Series 3, which launched in July 2014. The v2 Pro Series 3 was designed to be the most intelligent vape pen on the market, with a versatility that will impress any experienced vaporist.

Three different types of cartridges are used with the V2 Pro for different kinds of inputs. These include liquid, loose leaf, and wax cartridges. They are easy to load, quick to interchange, and have large capacities. The wax cartridge was not released prior to this review, but has since launched on their website — we look forward to testing its capabilities.

The intelligence of the V2 Pro is partially reflected by its ability to recognize cartridge types. Each cartridge has an associated optimal vaporization temperature. For example, the e-liquid requires less heat than loose leaf. The V2 Pro automatically adjusts its temperature, ensuring the best performance with little effort on the consumer’s end.

How to Use the V2 Pro Series 3

The combination of complexity and simplicity is one of the most beautiful aspects of the V2 Pro Series 3. It only has a few parts, which include mouthpiece, cartridge, and the pen itself. Before use, the cartridge must be filled with the right material. The mouthpiece is then attached to the cartridge and inserted into the pen. As long as there is an adequate charge, the Series 3 is ready to go.

Like other pens, it is unlocked by pressing the main button three times within two seconds. The same procedure is used to lock the device.

The vaporization experience with the V2 Pro is good, but not perfect. It takes a long time to heat up, and the draw was not as strong as expected. The mouthpiece is also prone to slipping off when trying to remove the cartridge. However, it may be ideal for those seeking precise titration, as activating the device for 10 to 15 seconds delivered a small but significant amount of material. In other words, it would be hard for someone to take in too much.

Interesting Features of the V2 Pro Vaporizer

The charging unit is a charmingly unique feature. The bottom of the V2 Pro has a small connection port for the unit, which attaches to the port magnetically. The other end is a USB which connects to a computer. I had never seen a magnetic charging unit of this kind before; it lends a special elegance to the product as a whole. Also, the V2 Pro can be used while being charged, which is good for when the battery dies but immediate continued consumption is desired.

Although other vaporizer companies are coming out with multi-purpose devices, the ability to change cartridges so quickly with the V2 Pro is distinguishing. I was able to switch between vaporizing loose leaf and the liquid within just a few seconds.

E-Liquid Products

The V2 Pro Series 3 is better for flavored liquids than it is for loose leaf. The company currently offers the pen with cartridges that come in 12 different flavors:

The liquid was initially harsher to me than the loose leaf cartridge. I inhaled for five seconds on my first try, and it was way too much. Holding the button for one second maximum was enough for a satisfying feeling. I sampled the vanilla flavor, which indeed had a strong vanilla taste and scent.

A more advanced V2 Pro known as the Series 7 will be coming out in March 2015. This device will surely improve on the imperfections of the Series 3 and further augment its strengths.
