The Cannabis Business Summit & Expo is Coming to Denver

The cannabis industry is booming and Colorado is its epicenter (until California gets its act together and legalizes the plant for adult-use). For the second year, the largest cannabis trade association in the United States is hosting a business summit in Denver. Exhibitors, sponsors, speakers and attendees will discuss and make their plans to take the cannabis industry by storm and push cannabis reform in 2015 and beyond.

The National Cannabis Industry Association (NCIA) will host the event who expect over 100 exhibitors and 2,000 attendees. The summit will serve as a forum for open discussion of cannabis industry best practices and business development.

“The event will take place June 29 to July 1 with the first day for optional workshops and networking following registration and a continental breakfast.”

The first day of the Cannabis Business Summit & Expo will kick off the second annual “Cannabis Carnival” at the Fillmore Auditorium, featuring Medeski, Martin and Wood and the Everyone Orchestra conducted by Matt Butler with special guests. After hours, the NCIA is hosting a party sponsored by Bhang Corporation, Mountain Medicine and O.pen Vape, providing attendees with entertainment for the evening, as well as additional networking opportunities.

Each day of the general summit includes lunch and an afternoon break for participants to take in what they’ve heard and use the opportunity of networking with hundreds of like-minded individuals, many with valuable experience to share.

Attendees can choose from five topics of interest: running your canna-business; cultivation and processing; finance, accounting and insurance; law, policy and reform; and emerging topics. Cannabis industry veterans and lobbyists will lead workshops designed to help new cannabis business owners get started in an ever-changing industry.

Featured speakers include Tripp Keber of Dixie Elixirs on effective marketing and branding strategies, Rachel Gillette of Colorado NORML on defining the limits of IRS authority and Julie Dooley of Julie’s Natural Edibles on managing an edibles kitchen.

The summit will be held at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver. Join with ganjapreneurs from around the country to help the industry grow and shape the policy to come. Participants from out of town have the opportunity to stay at a local luxury hotel for a discounted rate when reserved through the website before June 8.

The event will take place June 29 to July 1 with the first day for optional workshops and networking following registration and a continental breakfast. Information and registration can be found on the NCIA website.
