ISCPh was founded unify the pharmacy profession on the subject of cannabis in support of public health. Cannabis is medicine and we believe healthcare providers should be educated on its safe use. ISCPh has membership opportunities for pharmacists, other healthcare professionals, and students.

The Marijuana Policy Project was founded in 1995 in Washington, DC. The founders were members of NORML, but felt the organization should be more proactive. In turn, they broke away and started the MPP.
