The 1st annual High Times US Cannabis Cup is set to take place on the stoner holiday, 4/20, in Denver, Colorado this year. Although Denver has hosted a “medical” cup for the last three years, this year’s event won’t be as ‘medical’ because of Amendment 64, which legalized recreational use of marijuana. While last years cup discussions were focused around the upcoming vote to legalize cannabis in the state, this year’s cup will feature a BYO (bring-your-own) bud, Amendment 64-friendly zone where anyone (21 and older) is free to light up.
